Abstract

Batch experiments are carried out for the adsorption of Direct Yellow 17 by Sorelís cement with varying the composition. The operating variables studied are initial dye concentration (Ci), pH, temperature and contact time. The equilibrium data are fitted to the Langmuir isotherm equations. From this the adsorption efficiency, adsorption capacity and dimensionless separation factor are calculated.
